PD Couples
Treatment of the Personality Disordered Couple
Personality disordered partners act-out their developmental arrest within the relationship to protect the fragile underdeveloped "real" self. Since these relationships are almost solely based upon defense, the treatment is extremely challenging.
Advances in understanding the Disorders of the Self facilitates identification and understanding of each participants "developmental dilemma" and the nature of their interaction in the relationship.
This seminar focuses on clear diagnostic assessment, specific treatment plans and effective intervention strategies in promoting healthy growth and intimacy.
This course meets the qualification for 7 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs & LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
